Behind The Teas

Hi, I’m Donnie McKinley, founder of Noble Leaf Tea. My passion for tea began at a young age, sparked by my father’s travels around the world while serving in the United States Navy and later as a U.S. Merchant Marine. Every journey he undertook brought back unique and sometimes rare teas from distant lands. Each time he shared them with us, a simple sip became a story of adventure, discovery, and connection.

One of my fondest memories are the special tea blends my father would craft when we were feeling unwell. His knowledge of the healing properties of different teas was remarkable, and his custom blends always seemed to help us feel better. These early experiences not only introduced me to the power of tea but also taught me the delicate art of brewing the perfect cup.

Over the years, my journey with tea has evolved into a deep exploration of flavors, aromas, and traditions. I’ve discovered what makes a truly great cup of tea and what to avoid. This ongoing learning process has only deepened my appreciation for the craft of tea making and the cultures that have passed down this beloved tradition.
